This morning, 3PA students were challenged to stretch four important skills we utilize in Project Arrow: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication. Students participated in a small group team building challenge called "Tanglers". Teams of three were given an envelope of Tangler puzzle cards. One person shuffled the cards and passed the cards out to the group without looking at them. As a group, teams work together to solve the puzzle written on the cards. The question that is to be solved is even included in the cards. Tangler's most important rule (and also the most challenging!) is that you may not show your cards to any other team member. Students may talk about what is on their card, but they may not show it. This rule really encouraged students to communicate collaboratively! Teams discovered ways to creatively solve the task while keeping track of the cards they already used. It was a fun and challenging way to end our Friday! |
